When Movies Get Hot. Really Hot.

“It’s a scorcher out there.”

The list of enjoyable movies set during blazing heatwaves is surprisingly long. From A Streetcar Named Desire to Do the Right Thing, films that take place on the hottest days of the year sometimes have an edge that balmier cinema lacks. Here we celebrate some of our favorite moments of blistering heat on film with a supercut set to a scorching track by garage-rock luminaries Thee Oh Sees.
