You know the moment: Someone takes a bite of something, and immediately he or she is gripped by a new knowledge of the pleasures and possibilities of life. Perhaps this has happened to you, or maybe you have just seen it happen again and again in the movies.

Lasse Hallström, of Chocolat fame, returns to theaters this weekend with another take on impossibly good food, so we decided to revisit our favorite moments from the movies when food has the force of revelation.
