A Guide to the Most Persuasive Theory About Jon Snow’s Mother

It’s less obvious, at least to me, from watching the HBO series, but reading George R.R. Martin’s books—and I’ve only just begun—it seems clear that (speculative spoiler alert) Eddard Stark is not telling the truth about Jon Snow’s parentage. What’s more, a fairly persuasive theory is not hard to spot: Jon is, this theory goes, the son of Eddard’s sister, Lyanna, and Rhaegar Targaryen.

Confused? If so, watch the video above. It’ll walk you through this—and it won’t, so far as I can tell, spoil anything for you if you’re caught up with the show but not the books.
