The New Pornographers’ New Music Video Is One Long Unbroken Shot

Still from YouTube

Indie favorites the New Pornographers have been radio silent for four years now, but their new album, Brill Bruisers, will hit shelves in August. Until then, we have the music video for new single “War on the East Coast,” which features singers Dan Bejar and A.C. Newman taking a nonchalant stroll through a city falling into chaos.

If the style seems familiar, it’s because the video is an intentional homage to what Newman calls the “mid-’90s second-tier Britpop attitude,” which came through in many similar one-take videos.
