The Most Amusing Voice-Actor of His Generation Turns 2001 Into a Much Funnier Movie

To know Jon Benjamin’s voice is to love it, as far as I’m concerned, whether you’re hearing it on Archer, Bob’s Burgers, or, even better, on old episodes of Dr. Katz or Home Movies.

Or even, it turns out, if you’re hearing it overdubbed as the voice of HAL 9000 in 2001: A Space Odyssey, courtesy of Brooklyn-based comedy show Late Night Basement. Douglas Rain did a fine job in the original, but this is much funnier.
