According to Tabatha Leggett of BuzzFeed, there are “17 Reasons Why White Wine Spritzers Are The Best Drink Of Summer.” I hate to quibble with an essentially accurate statement, but I count only seven reasons on Leggett’s list, and ten filler statements. (Nos. 4, 5, and 6 are “That wine,” “That soda,” and “That citrus fruit,” respectively—arguments that I doubt would score highly in a debate competition.)
And while the seven reasons are good reasons, they omit one of the most important reasons of all: White wine spritzers are the ideal mixed drink to make when you’re traveling. The spritzer was practically designed to be mixed and drunk on an Amtrak train. Let me show you how.
