The musicians at Postmodern Jukebox have delivered another masterful cut for their Saturday Morning Slow Jam series. Last time they tackled DuckTales' opening song. Now they've applied their talents to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme—a more timely cover, perhaps, given the forthcoming film adaptation of the classic comic and cartoon.
That adaptation looks like every other Michael Bay film, and will very possibly butcher the beloved original material, but this cover is a fun R&B twist on the popular theme song. The band features Drue Davis's velvet vocal, Bennett Miller on bass, Allan Mednard on drums, Steve Sweat on the EWI, and groupleader Scott Bradlee on keys. Enjoy.
