Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Looks Like … a Michael Bay Movie

Megan Fox. Skyscrapers being destroyed. Low-angle shots of soldiers. American flags. If you were wondering what a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie would look like from Michael Bay, now at last you can see for yourself. Even the irreverent freaks here to save the day—whom Michael Bay said he was going to make into aliens, before taking it back—are portrayed in a way that seems vaguely Transformers-esque.

Of course, Bay didn’t direct. That job he delegated to Jonathan Liebesman, who also directed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning for Bay’s production company Platinum Dunes. But this still looks like a Bay product through and through. For those who maintain some sort of sick curiosity about this movie, it’s due out Aug. 8.
