For International Day of Happiness, a Smile-Inducing Supercut of Videos Inspired by Pharrell

Even if you’re on the verge of losing your mind every time you hear Pharrell Williams’ “Happy,” the widespread appeal of the song, currently number one in the country, is impossible to deny. And in honor of the UN Foundation’s International Day of Happiness, the musical multi-hyphenate has just reinforced the song’s cultural stronghold, tweeting out an expansive supercut of fan-made videos it inspired.

At about 12 minutes, the video is pretty straightforward: Tons of clips of random people mouthing the words and dancing in various locations around the world, in the manner of Williams' ambitious 24hoursofhappy project. But what it lacks in surprise it makes up for in pure, unadulterated joy. It’s hard not to see such an impressive array of different characters enjoying a simple, euphoric song and not be made a little bit happy, too.
