We’ve got over a year before Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang hit theaters in a new CGI feature (set to be released Nov. 6, 2015 to be exact), but the first teaser has arrived today. In the spirit of teasers, the one-minute video doesn’t reveal much—outside of what Charlie Brown and Snoopy will look like in CGI.
A few things are known so far about the production, as reported by USA Today. The script is co-written by creator Charles Schulz’s grandson Bryan along with newcomer Cornelius Uliano, and while the creative team has kept mum on plot details, characters from throughout the Peanuts universe will appear, including the Little Red-Haired Girl (who was never seen in the strips, but did appear in one TV special).
And while the CGI animation may have some Peanuts fans saying “Good grief,” producer Paul Feig has offered at least one comforting bit of information: “Snoopy will not be rapping, no one will be twerking, we're in good hands.”
