It Turns Out You Can Break Up by Speaking Entirely in Movie Titles

The conceit of this well-crafted scene by comedy group POYKPAC (which includes former Slate staffer Taige Jensen) seems too ambitious to keep going for long: an unhappy couple has dinner, and every bit of dialog we hear is the title of a movie. But the sketch, which stars Jenn Lyon and Ryan Hunter as the couple and Maggie Ross as their exasperated waitress, works surprisingly well.

And once the scene is finished, you’ll realize just how many silly, convoluted, and downright weird movie titles—they even manage to throw Phfft! in there—have come out of Hollywood.
