In “Simplethings,” his new song off the upcoming soundtrack to Season 3 of Girls, Miguel croons, “I just want someone to smoke with me, baby/ Lay with me, baby/ Laugh with me, baby.”
The song itself is similarly straightforward, a mid-tempo ballad that echoes the singer’s previous hit, “Do You …,” with its minimalist production and sharp guitar riff. If you’re keeping up with Girls, you might think of this as Adam Sackler’s theme song. If you’re not, well, just enjoy the tune on its own.
