Matt Shapiro uploaded his annual year-in-movies compilation to YouTube yesterday, and, once again, he's taken an unusually creative approach. This time around, he has edited together dozens of 2013 films to recount the story of a man's life from birth to old age and, finally, death.
While the nearly seven-minute-long video has some slightly odd features (Jean-Claude Van Damme's funny Volvo commercial, e.g., and some slightly distracting filtering effects), Shapiro's retrospective remains one of the most ambitious montages of its kind. Enjoy.
