People in Movies Really Want You to Look at Them

In the abstract, “look at me” seems like the most redundant possible line an actor could utter in a movie. What else are we going to do? And yet, as Dan Murrell shows in this extremely economical video he made for Screen Junkies, people in movies (and on TV) say this quite a lot.

Spoiler alert: I suspect people who did not like Garden State will enjoy this video significantly more than those who did. Just a heads up.
