Stream the Gorgeous Soundtrack to the Coen Brothers’ Next Movie

Carey Mulligan, center, and Justin Timberlake, right, are among those who make beautiful music on the Inside Llewyn Davis soundtrack.

CBS Films

We already knew from the trailer that the Coen brothers’ next movie, Inside Llewyn Davis, would have beautiful music. It tells the story of a Dave Van Ronk-like figure making his way in the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early 1960s.

The soundtrack is streaming now at NPR, leaving no doubt—there are several gorgeous recordings, and Dave Van Ronk will surely see a boost in sales soon, whether or not the movie, O Brother, Where Art Thou?-like, spurs a mini-revival. (That’s Van Ronk you hear on the last track.)

Listen to the second track, “Fare Thee Well (Dink’s Song),” performed by Marcus Mumford and Oscar Isaac, below, and stream the whole thing at NPR. Enjoy this while you wait for the movie, which comes to theaters Dec. 6.
