Miley Cyrus and Sinead O’Connor have been in a bit of a feud since the veteran performer wrote an open letter to the young star, warning that “the music business doesn’t give a shit about you.” Miley, who admitted prior to the letter that the imagery from “Wrecking Ball” video was meant to evoke O’Connor’s original video, then mocked O’Connor’s apparent struggles with mental illness.
So the two will probably never be friends. But their signature songs go surprisingly well together. “Nothing Compares to Wrecking Ball,” created by Robin Skouteris, makes at least one of these songs better than it was before (something of a pattern with Miley Cyrus mashups).
