Today Rap Genius unveiled its new Rap Stats searchable database, a sort of Google Ngram for rap lyrics. You simply type in a word (or a group of words) and it shows that word’s rise and fall in rap lyrics over time.

Much of what you find is what you would expect—the decline of bling,  the rise of swag and bad bitches—but some searches, like the one I entered above, will surprise you. Sorry, Biggie.
