Jayne Amara Ross is a Franco-Australian poet and filmmaker. Frédéric D. Oberland is a French composer and multi-instrumentalist. Together, the international duo put together a mixtape called “For Valuska,” which combines movie scores and songs from films with dialogue from those movies and thoughts on the cinema from Gilles Deleuze, Maya Deren, Werner Herzog, and more. They describe it as a tribute to “the musicians, filmmakers, actors, writers that made us want to make and score films.”
