By now, most of us are familiar with the “In a world where …” trailer cliché. (It even inspired a feature film.) But the “one man” motif is probably even more ubiquitous—and even more revealing of what Hollywood thinks people want from their movies. (“One woman”? Not so ubiquitous.)
