Watch 90 Dazzling Seconds With No CGI

We’re still not quite sure how, exactly, film editor Will Witte created “Screengrab,” an experimental short involving objects as simple as a piece of paper and scissors—apparently, he used no CGI—but the result is nothing short of dazzling.

The film begins fairly simply, but quickly morphs into a quick, complex arrangement of images layered upon images. Presumably stop-motion techniques were involved? Maybe it’s better just to savor the illusion.
