Oblivion and Wall•E Meet in Obliv•E

Is Oblivion just a live-action Wall•E? Like the Disney-Pixar animated classic, Oblivion stars a sad-eyed romantic (Tom Cruise) who's left behind to protect the scorched remains of Earth, until an attractive young visitor with sleek curves (Olga Kurylenko) crashes nearby and shakes up his world forever. Cruise, too, seems to have drawn inspiration from the 2007 original: Critics are already praising his "robotic" performance.

But just how similar are the two movies? SlateV's Chris Wade mashed up their two trailers so you can judge for yourself.
