Brooks Brothers Comes Out for Gay Marriage, Has Second Thoughts

Update, March 27, 8 p.m.: A spokesman for Brooks Brothers sends along the following explanation:

It is a longstanding Brooks Brothers policy that our associates may not use company assets to promote their personal or political views. One of our associates tweeted from what they believed to be their personal Twitter account and when they realized they were actually logged on to the company’s handle, that associate deleted their own tweet (fully aware of this policy). Brooks Brothers has consistently demonstrated a history of treating all our employees equally.
