While she may be best known as one-half of beloved pop duo Everything But the Girl, Tracey Thorn has been making solo recordings for 30 years. And her fourth solo album has a Christmas theme: Tinsel and Lights emphasizes the heightened feelings, both good and bad, of the holiday season—which, she says, make it a great source of creativity. “Anything that’s got the potential for stress and tension and conflict—I think that’s quite inspiring.”
