Woody Allen Answers Unlikely Questions

A still from “12 Questions for Woody Allen”

This video hit the web a year ago, but it has been making the rounds lately, and for Woody fans, it’s a delight. While working on his Woody Allen documentary, Robert Weide came up with 12 questions he hadn’t heard Woody Allen answer before, and went through them with the writer-director-actor-comedian in rapid-fire format.

The most interesting bits? Perhaps the revelation that Allen doesn’t care for Some Like It Hot (and prefers Casanova’s Big Night). Or Allen’s claim that, if forced, he would, at this point in his life, give up watching movies, old and new, before he gave up watching sporting events. Or that he would rather live to a healthy 100 and never make his masterpiece (which Allen says has eluded him, though we disagree), then live to 98 and finally create it. “The film is a film,” he says. Watch the whole thing.
