In the best scene of the sci-fi mind-bender Looper, Bruce Willis’s wizened Old Joe explains that he and his younger self have no time to start discussing the finer points of time travel. If they do, he says they’re “gonna be here all day, drawing diagrams with straws.”

Designer Michael Talley seems to have taken that as a challenge. I should note that Talley, who gave us permission to highlight his work here, is not the first to make such an attempt. Others have made similar diagrams, with straws and otherwise. But his is easily the prettiest and easiest to understand. All you other Looper fans can stop trying now.
