Bill Murray Inducted into South Atlantic League Hall of Fame

Bill Murray in SB Nation’s video “Baseball’s Best Boss”

Bill Murray, who has invested in several minor league baseball teams, is currently part-owner of the Charleston RiverDogs; you may have seen him recently indulging in some good old-fashioned tarp-sliding during a RiverDogs rain delay. (Rick Dempsey would be proud.)

Now the South Atlantic League has inducted Murray into its Hall of Fame. And Murray has returned the favor by delivering a predictably charming and off-the-cuff speech inspired by his sincere appreciation for their appreciation. (Kudos, by the way, to SB Nation, for the Wes Anderson-esque yellow lettering and symmetrical framing.) As he says near the top, “No one’s ever asked me to be in a Hall of Fame before.” I suspect this won’t be the last time. (Via The Daily What.)
