On last night’s episode of 30 Rock , heavily pregnant Avery starts having contractions while she and Jack are in Toronto for the G8 summit. Dead-set on having theirdaughter be born on American soil, they try to race back to the border.
John Cho makes an appearance as a friendly Canadian who picks the twoup in his traveling meth lab. And while the episode was probably in the can longbefore Amy Chua’s Battle Hymn of the TigerMother exploded , I like to think this was the show’s way of winking at the wholefracas. (After all, Cho did star in the past decade’s cleverest movie about race in America .)
