  • Selling a Not-So-Sweet Sensibility

    Does the idea of a candy bar with pink girlie wrapping, a sexualized name, and a marketing promo urging women to "pleasure yourself" by eating said candy bar seem annoying as hell to anyone else?

    When I heard this piece on NPR yesterday about the new Fling candy bar, also known as a chocolate finger, I thought it was a joke. When I realized it was a real news story, it made me so mad that the only finger I thought about was the middle finger I'd like to give to the person who came up with the idea. I so hope...
