On Tuesday, April 19 (tomorrow!) I’ll be giving a talk at the University of Colorado campus for the Secular Students and Skeptics Society. The title is “The Final Epsilon”, and it’s my own ruminations on the nature of dealing with certainty versus doubt. Basically, as a scientist and an active skeptic I have to leave some room for doubt on any convictions I have, but as a human being, perhaps not so much.
You can find details (including locations and such) on the SSaSS calendar. But just in case you can’t read that, it’s in room 220 in the Education Building on CU’s campus at 7:00 p.m.
I went to a Drinking Skeptically night in Boulder (a regular get-together for skeptics) where many of the folks from SSaSS were there. I imagine they’d be happy if some other Boulder folks came out and said hi. They’re a young organization, and could use some local support.
I hope to see some of you there!
