Arts and science in Pasadena

Hey, if you find yourself in Pasadena on October 14th, you should swing by the Alyce de Roulet Williamson Gallery (at the Art Center College of Design, 1700 Lida Street, Pasadena, CA, 91103). Why? Because they’ll have a reception for the “Observe” exhibit going, a mixing of astronomy and art. Lots of people are involved, including major astronomy chick Michelle Thaller, whom I love with all my heart, and my buddy Robert Hurt, whom I love a little bit, maybe with parts of my spleen and lymph system.

This looks like a cool exhibit, with a wormhole you can crawl through (and probably collapse the throat of it, which is what happens – theoretically – if any matter tries to pass through one. I assume they’ll leave that part out of the exhibit) and see other sciencey stuff. Spitzer Space Telescope is behind this, and that equals cool. It actually opens to the public on October 10.
