Science blogs book club

Science Blogs – which hosts the evil but lovable PZ Myers, of course – has started a book club, where folks can talk about a “recent, quality, mass-market” science book. This is a pretty good idea! They’ve started it off with Carl Zimmer’s Microcosm: E. coli and the New Science of Life which sounds like a good book (good enough that I may very well pick up a copy and put it on my ever-growing stack).

The posts are in the usual reverse-chronological-order used by blogs, so you should scroll to the bottom and work your way up. Carl talks about his definition of life, which is a good read. I need to write up my own thoughts on this, since it’s an interesting topic!

Anyway, I’m getting in a bit late in the game; the club started on the 1st and will go through the 15th. I guess they’ll move on to a new book after that, so jump in now!
