Amaz!ng Skepchicks

My Skepchick calendar arrived in the mail the other day (actually two; one was a gift for a friend). Hooray! I’ve been waiting for this a long time, and I was not disappointed. The pictures are quite good. Downright artistic.

The woman who managed the project told me she wanted to use my book as a prop, but I wasn’t sure what she meant until I flipped to October. Um. Yes. Ahem! The picture above shows that month’s image, and if you click it you’ll see exactly what she meant. I should warn you: (mildly) Not Safe For Work. Probably. Depends on where you work, I guess.

She tells me the calendars are selling fast. If you want one, you’d better get moving. Quantities literally are low. Almost all money made will go toward a fund to help women attend James Randi’s “The Amaz!ng Meeting 4, a skeptical event that I will be blogging about shortly.

Think the calendar is a great idea? Think it’s a terrible idea? Then talk about it on the Skepchick forum! A lot of interesting discussion is going on there.

Oh, by the way– she signed my calendar, right above her picture. As to what she said… that’s our secret. :-)

I had originally titled this “Amaz!ng Naked Skepchicks”, but I decided to change it because it conveys the wrong message. Plus, not all the skepchicks are naked in the calendar.
