Nate Chinen

Nate Chinen is the editorial director at WRTI, a regular contributor to NPR, and a former music critic for the New York Times and the Village Voice. He is the author of Playing Changes: Jazz for the New Century and co-author of Myself Among Others: A Life in Music, the 2003 autobiography of impresario George Wein. He writes The Gig, a Substack newsletter on music and culture.
