M. Zaher Sahloul is a critical care specialist, an associate professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the president of the medical nongovernmental organization MedGlobal. He’s helped lead the response to the Syrian refugee crisis through his work with MedGlobal and the Syrian American Medical Society.
