David Shiffman

Dr. David Shiffman is a marine conservation biologist who studies sharks and how to protect them, and is research faculty at Arizona State University's Washington, D.C., campus. He is the author of Why Sharks Matter, a book about shark science and conservation, as well as dozens of articles for media outlets including Slate, National Geographic, the Washington Post, Scientific American, and a monthly column in SCUBA Diving magazine.
