Boys Explain Why They’re Ready for a Female President

They point to their neighbors, friends, girls in their classes …

“Our children are watching” has been one of this election’s refrains, and when we visited kids just before Halloween in Newark, New Jersey, they all had plenty of opinions. In particular, we asked a group of boys, ages 8 to 14, what they’d think of America electing its first female president. Their answers—invoking their mothers and cousins and the girls in their class—were touching and often hilarious. See them in the video above.
