Richard Kind stars in this dark short film, Black Swell, about a man who may attempt suicide in a motel room.
As Kind pulls out a gun and contemplates what he is about to do, he is suddenly interrupted by the sound of loud heavy metal music coming from next door. When he goes to complain, the young man who opens the door recognizes him as his former teacher. Despite Kind’s protest that he wants to be left alone, the enthusiastic young man starts a conversation. That’s not where it ends, though—the short also has an … unexpected twist ending.
Black Swell was directed by Jake Honig and also stars David Rysdahl (who scripted and produced the film).
