Paper Gourmet

A (fake) meal that looks good enough to eat.

In this video, pasta with meatballs is prepared with paper as the only ingredient. Yum? Titled “Penne Meatballs,” the video is the first in a series called Paper Meal from Melbourne-based Yell Design, Australia’s first Vine studio. The video is made using stop-motion.

There’s also an added layer: The meal is being prepared in an office, using only office supplies, which have also been painstakingly crafted out of paper. A paper trimmer is used to chop paper tubes into penne; a ruler acts as a utensil to stir the ingredients; a pencil cup serves as a cheese grater. No detail is spared here: The dish is even garnished with oregano, made from a piece of a doily.
