Dust Bunnies Are Alive

In this animated short, at least.

This inventive animated short film imagines a world in which dust bunnies are alive. In the film, by Beth Tomashek and Sam Wade, these fuzzy little balls of dust and debris take the shape of their zoological namesake—and they’re pretty adorable. They hop, they float, they squeak, and they love to eat crackers.

The plot follows one brave dust bunny that gets over its fear of the wide open space of the living room—where fearsome humans dwell—to save its peers from from an evil maid. She is, of course, determined to vacuum them up. The dialogue-less film is in the vein of Pixar, and like a Pixar short, it gets very emotional. Will it make you cry? Maybe.
