In his statement on Tuesday, FBI Director James Comey cited Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified materials as “careless.” In particular, he noted a batch of emails found on her server that were “marked classified” at the time they were sent or received.
Unsurprisingly, Republicans pounced on this key takeaway. It proved, they said, that Clinton had lied when she said she had never sent or received materials marked as such.
But on Friday, Comey was dragged in front of Congress to testify on the Bureau’s findings. As you can see in the video above, the result was not great for the GOP and their chosen talking point.
