Bernie’s “America” Ad, Updated

After Sanders’ convention speech, his iconic campaign ad needed some tweaks.

On Monday night, as Bernie Sanders called for party unity and gave a full-throated endorsement of Hillary Clinton, his fans were … sad. As in tears, sobbing, the whole shebang. And to a certain extent, this was totally understandable. Presidential campaigns inspire emotions, the Sanders campaign perhaps more than most. His supporters are fiercely loyal, and their passion is admirable.

But also: come on. Tantrums and “SILENCED” tape over your mouths because your candidate lost? For those still throwing a fit, we felt the need to give Sanders’ iconic ad—the Simon and Garfunkel–backed “America”—a slight update. Watch it above, Bernie holdouts.
