Did You See This?

A Fox Cub’s First 35 Days

Try to watch this and not swoon.

A lot changes in your first five weeks when you’re a red fox cub. Just ask the teddy bear in the video above from Wildlife Aid—he’s seen it all.

Watching this female fox cub grow up before your eyes is as adorable as it is amazing. Sure, if you’re a newborn vulpes vulpes, you may start out with eyes shut and looking like a little mole sneaking out from behind your big teddy bear, but pretty soon that bear isn’t looking so big.And by day five you’re ready to explore the great wide … um, towel.

By day 6, there are things you want to say, and by day 10, you’re ready to shout them in the loudest squeak you can muster. By the time day 13 rolls around, you’re finally looking like something canine (and are super cute).

It’s a good thing you have a faithful friend to trust. By day 20, you and your lifelong pal are sweetly snuggled-up—even if by day 28, you’re chewing on his ear.

But there’s no mistaking it now: By day 35, you’re a real fox.
