Clinton Cool

Hillary’s smoothest moments at the first Democratic debate.

For some presumed frontrunners, the first debate of the primary season might be treacherous, or at least a bit of a dance. That was not the case for Hillary Clinton. Foreign policy, Planned Parenthood, awkward bathroom jokes—no matter the question, Clinton proved to be utterly at ease, at one point enjoying a roiling applause simply for one well deployed “No.”

Not only did Clinton perform, she did it with style—an old-school cool that helped set her apart from the rest of the debate stage. In the video above, we nod to her finest moments of even temper and knowing smiles, especially amid a blustery night for some of her opponents.
