CNBC’s badly framed questions and rookie mistakes became easy material for the 2016 Republican field at the latest debate, but the moderators weren’t the only ones who had a rough night. After weeks of doomsday media portrayals of his campaign, Jeb Bush had his worst performance yet. And while Trump got in some trademark barbs against the other candidates, Marco Rubio emerged as the evening’s winner, with surprisingly forthright answers about his troubled financial past. In the video above, we collected the best one-liners, flubs, and the return of the “middle class” as the favored entreaty of the night.
