Approximately the size of a car, a nearly transparent mass was a mystery to the scuba divers who almost swam right into it off the coast of Turkey. Fortunately, it did not try to consume them, instead posing for some incredible footage.
Their video of the encounter caught the eye of an employee at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, who believes the divers found an egg mass of red flying squids—a very rare sight, since squid eggs hatch quickly.
