How the magnificent sea sapphire can disappear right before our eyes.

Tiny crustaceans known as sea sapphires have perfected a disappearing act, floating around in an array of colors from gold to blue, and then suddenly slipping out of sight. New research, described in the video above, spoils the magic trick.
