In a recent New York Times Modern Love column (headline: “To Fall in Love With Anyone, Do This”), Mandy Len Catron wrote about a psychological experiment by Arthur Aron, who reportedly made two strangers fall in love in a lab. His technique involved having the subjects answer 36 “increasingly personal questions,” followed by a short period of staring directly into the stranger’s eyes. We wanted to see what that looked like, so we asked three pairs to replicate the experiment in our own (decidedly unscientific) way. Watch the results in the video above.
