This Is How You Introduce a Starting Lineup on MLK Day

With a full choir.

After (multiple) decades of mediocrity, the Atlanta Hawks are having an incredible season. They have the best record in the NBA, point guard Jeff Teague is playing like an all-star, Kyle Korver has been historically great from three, and young German phenom Dennis Schröder is starting to look worthy of that 2013 lottery pick. All in all, there’s been a lot to like coming out of Philips Arena this year. And you can add the above video to the list.

As part of the festivities to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Hawks pulled out all the stops in their pregame presentation. First, they ran an impressive 3-D projection tribute video on the court, backed by audio from King’s “I Have a Dream” speech. And then the kicker: They brought out a full choir to announce the Atlanta starting lineup. It was, to say the least, a showstopper.
