Lock Pickers, Meet 3-D Printers

Engineers warn that an old trick could get new life with the ever-cheaper technology.


“Bumping a lock" is an old art that's become more difficult. But Wired reports that lock-picking engineers Jos Weyers and Christian Holler have come up with simple software that can 3-D print sophisticated new bump keys. It isn't hard.
