The terrifying German exhibit that used a Van Gogh descendant to make a living replica of his severed ear.

The ear uses living cells from Lieuwe van Gogh, the great-great-grandson of Vincent van Gogh’s brother Theo. But the most unsettling part? The museum encourages you to “talk to the ear,” converting your sounds into nerve impulses.
